CB weeks indicator going in the wrong direction

Hi

By lmp I should be 6 weeks. On Wednesday I took a CB digital and it came back at 2-3 (4-5 weeks in traditional terms) and I put this down to ovulating late. Also ran this past the GP and he said he was surprised they can offer these products as HCG varies greatly.

I have bloods booked in for Monday and then the week after to see the difference.

Unfortunately this morning I tested again hoping to see 3+ (5+ weeks plus in traditional terms) but instead got 1-2.

It sounds like bad news but just wanted to hear other people's experiences please.

Had a mmc in January and was hoping this was the one but maybe not.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for sharing your story.

I'm not sure what the EPU will say. A scan might be inconclusive especially if I have ovulated late and I'm not quite 6+1. They might be able to see measuring too small though.

Does anyone know what the miscarriage options are at 6 weeks? Since I had the mmc last time (it had stopped growing at 9 weeks and it was discovered at 12 weeks) chances are I don't think it'll make its way out itself.

Will they offer medical management or the surgical? Not sure which one is take this time..

I had a scan at 6 weeks and they could see a heart beat. I really hope it is a good result for you today.

My friend who had a MMC at around this time had it medically managed at home, and then had to go in for a D&C as she had retained parts they could see on the scan.

Have you got to call at 9? Could you call the emergency gyne clinic to see if they are open and can refer you through straight away?

Thank you. Last preg I had a bleed at 5 and 6 weeks and they managed to pick up a heartbeat at the 6 week point. I thought I was a bit further on though but I must've ovulated late. I think it's the same this time so it might be too early to see anything yet if I'm not quite 6 weeks. Although they might see that it's ridiculously small in which case it's wont be viable.

I would just rather know now to be honest. It's been a long night, didn't sleep much. The EPU open at 9 so will phone then.

I think I would just go for the surgical option this time.

At 6 weeks I would expect it to make its own way out.

I had 2 early miscarriages and so when I found out I was pregnant this time I was convinced the same would happen. I bled on and off for weeks 4-7 and had period cramps throughout. I had a scan at 5 weeks, another the week later as they couldn't see anything and then another at 8 weeks as I had been bleeding again.

So far I'm 17 weeks and everything seems to have settled down.

Going in for bloods at 10 and will be repeated on Tuesday. She didn't sound hopeful when I told her about the weeks indicator going wrong direction

Are they not doing a scan then? Hope the blood test goes well, how soon will you get today's result?

LBNM19 · 22/05/2016 09:21

Good news that it's open today. Good luck xx

redstrawberries101 · 22/05/2016 09:21

No scan she said. I mentioned going privately but she said don't waste your money. She wasn't hopeful at all!

Oh you poor thing. Hope it goes well for you. Xx

redstrawberries101 · 22/05/2016 13:44

The hospital phoned and said the HCG level was only 129. They'll repeat on Tuesday but most definitely a miscarriage.

Thanks for everyone's support and Input.

Hope the bleeding doesn't drag on now, I've not had much bleeding at all yet.. It was horrendous last time but I was obviously further on.
