Hi. I'm 5/6 weeks pregnant and for the last couple of weeks I've been feeling really strange in my tummy. Basically I sometimes get sharp pains but more often esp on an afternoon it feels like it's doing summersalts. Is this normal with it being so early on. I can't remember feeling like this when I was pregnant with my 1st. Also I'm overweight and when I googled about it it said that it's skinny women who feel movements very early on?! Thanks

Isn't a baby only about 1 cm long at 5/6 week pregnant?

Not sure what you're feeling, but I think it's unlikely to be the baby unless you're further along than you think.

Yeah I don't think it is the baby but I'm worried in case something is wrong. Feels so strange!

Not got any experience of being pregnant yet but have read that the hormones cause your uterus to change shape which can cause cramping type pains so maybe tgat could be it.

Yeah I've read that too. Hopefully it's just that Smile x

It sounds like stretching pains, I had them, I knew I was pregnant but for the first 3 months I felt like my period was going to come because of the cramps.

Aw thank you for replying. Yes that's how I feel, feel happier knowing it's normal!
