My best friend is 9/40 with first baby and feeling rubbish and hormonal. I'm 36 weeks with dc3 so pretty used to it all but it's knocked her sideways, feeling out of control of emotions, can't sleep, nausea, constipated (has IBS)
I'd like to get her a little present ( short of ££ so something small/cheap Sad) just to help her feel a bit better.
Any suggestions?

Hi lovelilies,

Just wanted to suggest whether she can get any support from her midwife or any local groups. Antenatal depression is much more common than postnatal depression and it's underestimated. As a sufferer myself, I'm keen to spread the word so people can recognise it, if that's what it is.

People often expect pregnancy to be a happy time and often it's not.

Anyway, I think most of the symptoms you mention improve in the second trimester so hopefully not long to go.

It's very kind of you to be thinking of her. Maybe take her out to lunch?

x

Thank you for your reply, I will mention it to her.
I've got her a little bag with lavender radox, tiger balm, nail varnish, a mini fan, haribos, an oil burner and a little card Smile
