Hiya, so I have my Anti D injection tomorrow and was told by a friend that they inject the tummy for it? Is this true as I had no idea? I'm hugely phobic of needles so I want to be mentally prepared. (Blush)

I've had 2 over the past couple of weeks and they were in my arm. Apparently they used to do them in your bum but changed it to arm sometime recently.

I don't think it has to go into a muscle.

Both times I have had mine they have done it at the same time as taking blood. Took the blood and then just put the anti d straight in the same vein, no worse than having blood taken...

Had mine last week and it was injected into upper arm

Bum for me, but I also had to have lots of injections in my tummy in my last pregnancy for other reasons. Just wanted to say if that happens to you please don't worry, it's fine and isn't any more sore in my opinion. Just a little stinging feeling.

Mine was in my arm. A little sore and somewhat cold going in but by time I was leaving the room I wouldn't have known I'd had it.
