8 weeks brown discharge

Hi I'm a very worried I am 8 weeks ahead and just noticed brown discharge when I wipe sorry for tmi. Im not sure what to do as it's never happened before

I had it on and off all through my pregnancy and ds is 15 now so not necessarily bad news.

Do you have a midwife yet? I know things are different from when I had ds but I always went to the EPU on my midwife's advice even at 9 weeks.

Can you speak to your doctor?

Ok that's a bit of relief I have my first appointment with the midwife this Friday not sure wether to keep and eye on it or get it checked what did you do?

I also had this for 2 days last week and I'm around 6 weeks pregnant.

Went to GP as I made a emergency appointment for Saturday, to be honest he wasn't much help and said it could be a number of things and is not always negative as many women bleed when pregnant.

Also he didn't seem to concerned once I said it was brown blood.

However he said to go to A&E if the blood turned red or there was severe pain.

The brown blood started Friday morning and finished by Sunday, and I've not had no pain so hoping it all is okay whilst waiting for a midwife appointment.

Hopefully it stops for you soon, try not to worry too much (I know that's hard)! X

I had this too, at about 8 weeks. I thought I was miscarrying. I wasn't! There was quite a lot of blood, but it wasn't red, which seems to be significant.

I'd definitely ring someone, though, to put your mind at rest.

Apparently bleeding is quite common in pregnancy. But scary.

Hope it all works out.

Thanks for your advice I think it might be ok if it's brown it stopped now wasnt very much but I had sex yesterday so I'm thinking this may have caused it I did have some cramping though like wind

Hi my friend is havivg ive and got bfp. She is currently 8 weeks . She had brown bleed about 6 days ago. She had scan this week and saw a very healthy little heartbeat. Try not to worry too much , I know easier said than done ! as said previously I think if it's brown it may be old blood x good luck hon x

Ha no problem Apple as I say it's now away and I don't have any pain I'm thinking of booking a reassurance scan anyway for peace of mind I know I'd need to wait another 4 weeks for a scan

I've had the same to. Before being pregnant I never got discharge and now it's every day. Today was the worst it was almost green.
