When did you start nesting?

I'll admit that I'm normally a messy person but at 28 weeks pregnant the tiniest bit of mess is making me want to throw all my belongings away. My husband just neatened up a pile of papers rather than putting them away and I wanted to hit him round the head with them.

So, how many weeks were you when you started nesting?

I'm nearly 30 weeks and the last couple of weeks I have become a cleaning/decorating fiend. It's a combination of nesting and panicking that pretty soon I might be too big or exhausted to do any of these things. I have a vision of a perfectly tidy, freshly painted prepared house when baby arrives but pretty sure I'm deluding myself :)

When I was 35+4 I noticed the skirting board looked a bit dusty. I didn't do anything about it or anything. That's the closest to nesting I ever came. I went into labour the next day.

with my previous pregnancies, nesting/decorating kicked in at 30 ish weeks,

currently 32 weeks and i simply cant be arsed this time.

My daughter was born at 28 weeks and it always kind of pissed us off that I never got to the nearing stage - we were hoping I was going to get the flat pristine.

I'm half way through cleaning the bathroom but I've just sat down for a cup of tea and I'm not sure I give a shit anymore. Glad I got that nesting out of my system!

Nesting, not nearing!

As soon as the nausea passed, both times. So 18 and 16wks. My nesting takes the form of a need to get the DIY done and clear cupboards rather than actual cleaning though. Last time I was making and fitting wardrobes at 36wks and painting the living room at 38wks. This time has been so much harder as I'm more tired thanks to the toddler and don't have the time at the weekends to get as much done also because of DD. So instead I've taken to outsourcing a fair bit of the building work; very frustrating when I can do the work myself perfectly well under normal circumstances. I feel quite sorry for the builders TBH, they have found themselves working for a pregnant carpenter who's very aware of the time that now isn't left. They are mostly people I work with so have been pretty good and understanding!

My husband started nesting at week 20ish and I did about 2 days before my DD was born (at week 36).

Afraid I didn't!!

I've been cleaning out clean cupboard from about 16 weeks, have rearranged the baby stuff about 4 times so far my mum says I'm nesting but I think I'm just an inpatient control freak who does not like all this waiting around.

First pregnancy I was signed off work at about 5.5 months and obsessively organised from then as well.

I'm 19 weeks, and today I have just cleaned the equivalent of narnia in my downstairs storage cupboard, I have gave away all my coats, shoes and bags I no longer wear, I've also cleared my kitchen draws which were full of shite, and ordered wallpaper, paint and a new bed to do my bedroom and bathroom this week. My back is in absolute agony now so I'm currently sat on my arse eating peanut butter ice cream...

Phew! I thought I was going mad as I'm only 16 weeks but today I decided we needed to rearrange our bedroom and through room which will be a sort of nursery to start with before throwing a strop that we had too much stuff and the baby was just going to have more! I wondered if it was nesting, seems like maybe it it!

About 28 weeks, though I think part of it was lockdown boredom too.

I'm 32+3 and could really do with it kicking in about now .... can someone send some motivation my way please?
