Over the bump trousers with a stretchy jersey panel - are they any good?

Last pregnancy I had some really lovely trousers that were on the bump, but once I got to about 8 months they just constantly fell down! Under the bump ones are no good as they just fall down whaever stage I'm at [hmm[. I saw some ones with a jersey panel in in the Vertbaudet catalogue, but I'm really reluctant to shell out for yet another pair of trousers that will just fall down!

I much preferred the ones with the panel over the bump. I think I had Next ones.

I don't envy you!

I bought some from vertbaudet in the sale before Christmas - they were about £10 I think.

Stetchy front panel but and adjustable elastic round the back but they still fall down if I bend over.

Was out in the garden yesterday and suddenly realised everyone driving past was being treated to a right spectable of a bare behind!

This time round have found skirts much more comfy. Can't find woolly maternity tights anywhere so just bought the next size up in BHS which are fine.

Miaou, I have a pair of over the bump trousers you can have.

they're from Tchibo, sort of greeny colour, 3/4 length cotton jeans. Not ideal for bleack scottish winter but will be good for spring/summer. The have atie belt that goes under the bump.

They're very comfy.

Thye're your if you want them.

I've got a couple of pairs from Blooming Marvellous which are really comfy. On pair have no panel but are just stretchy all over and the others have side panels - both stay up (at 34 weeks!) but are a bit scruffy by now!

Would warn anyone off the M+P jeans that are on the bump. Mine are so annoying I've had to stop wearing them. Very annoyed becasue not cheap and actually did look ok when for a few weeks they did stay up!

Miaou, what size are you? I might have some I can send you?

LadyTophamHatt · 14/01/2007 14:08

bumping for mioau.....

i found this type of keg the best as if you have under the bump jobs, when your belly gets tight like a drum, your top rides up, but with the panel types your top grips on. unless you like the vicky pollard bump out look! lol

ooooh you lovely people!! LTH and Hunker, would love to take you up on your offer - how very kind! I have got about three or four pairs of maternity trousers and was trying to work out how I could justify the cost of buying yet another pair ... that's fab!! I will email you both
