Me and my partner have been trying for a baby for 6 months, I was due my period about 8 days ago and been having strong stomach cramps, And still no sign of my period has anyone else had this and is it to soon to take a test?

Tests are usually accurate from the day your period is due (or even a couple of days before) so yes, if you're 8 days late you should definitely take a test!
