I had an internal done 5 days ago and last night I was getting bad period like cramps then vomiting this morning. Could this be a sign?

D'you mean internal scan? I had one a few days ago and I was sick with tummy pains yesterday. I'm definitely not pregnant so not really an indicator in itself, no.

Urgh - pressed post too soon!

It could be just be heat related, however it's always best to be prepared. It sounds as if it will be sooner rather than later anyway so take it easy and try and relax as much as possible.

It can be but not necessarily. I had bad pains and vomited a couple of times at 39 weeks and assumed it'd be labour starting off. Turned out it was actually gastroenteritis and I ended up in hospital overnight on a drip to rehydrate me. It's very easy to dehydrate quickly when you're very pregnant as the baby will take what it needs and you get what's left! I'd call your midwife just to get checked over.

It can be.

Sometimes vomiting and dirrohea both happen just before labour as a way of clearing the body out.

Sometimes it's just bad luck and illness

It was for me - first diarrhoea then vomiting. I was well into labour though, when I was sick. With the cramps, I would say it's likely to be the beginning of things Smile

It was the start for me, had diaroeahh and sickness the night before labour started! Good luck
