So last night made myself penne with a passata based tomato sauce. took a mouthful, sauce dribbled out and down my chin - and well, its done quite a number on me! (piccy attached!)
Is skin more sensitive during pregnancy to stuff like this?
It had been sat for about 5 minutes while i faffed getting a drink and putting Masterchef on so i have no idea how it was that hot?!
Any tips of helping it heal - its so painful - i'd normally take ibuprofen but can't :-(
Am 34 weeks and it HURTS :-( (big wuss i know!)

Yes definitely. I had some very hot sugar spilt on my thumb when I was pregnant and I've got a huge hideous scar which will never go away :(

You can get a burn cream at the pharmacy, just make sure it's OK on pregnant women...

My friend is a GP had me put yoghurt on it last night - i swear if you ever burn yourself do it - it was sweet sweet relief!

Yep, skin is more sensitive when pregnant

OTheHugeManatee · 05/05/2016 14:28

My skin is definitely more sensitive. Got a tiny scald on one hand from a wallpaper steamer the other day and it's come up in a hideous blister.

Not to mention bursting blood vessels in my face from coughing (not even that hard) and bubble bath making me itch and all the other bloody minor bloody pregnancy ailments as well.

This time, nope, complete asbestos fingers!!
