has any one bought pg tests from ebay, like a pack of 25 "sticks" for a few pounds, do they work?

Yes, got a positive test 5 days before period was due (10 days after ovulation).

Got darker as I tested each day and was very strong by the first day of missed period.

In my experience they are fine and just come without the fancy packaging.

Mine weren't off ebay but were from access diagnostics? About £3 for 10 roughly...I'm 32 weeks pg now so they were accurate and very cheap lol, but not as cute as a clearblue I suppose

lissielou · 12/01/2007 23:36

with ds used a cheapo pg test and was bfp, found out that id only been 3w. spose that the same stuff's used. but with the digital 1s theres no holding it up to the light etc

The only thing with the cheapies in my experience is that you have to be very careful with holding them in your wee sample for long enough to get a result and not reading them after the 10 minute limit. I had a false positive with one because of this (and yes, it really was a false +ve not an early m/c)

NotAnOtter · 13/01/2007 00:36

i have had false pos too - faint lines after a while
