I'm 37+5 and not sure whether to worry about this or not so thought I'd ask

For the last few hours I've been getting on and off period pains, I feel like I'm going to be sick and I'm getting rather short of breath.. For the past hour or two I feel really light headed too.

Do you think I should be worried or am I just panicking over nothing ? X

I would say see how you feel in an hour or two. In the mean time put your feet up, breathe deeply, try and relax. Phone your midwife/hospital if you're in doubt. How are the baby's movements?

Yeah I think you're right give it a bit more time and see if things change. She's not moving too much at the moment but she tends to be a bit still around this time xx

Fully agree with dreadfulpenny I'd have a nice bath and if possible try to get some sleep or at least rest. If the pains don't ease off, they increase, or you notice any change to baby's usual movements (it's a myth movements decrease before labour), you notice any loss of fluids etc call your midwife / delivery unit for some advice.
You mention lightheaded - have you eaten much today?

FWIW, my first labour started with period type stabby pains which didn't ease off after I had a bath. Lost my plug about 6 hours later and there was no confusion whatsoever about the pains that followed! Good luck and take it easy
