Worse morning sickness with a girl?

Afternoon all! I'm having another day of awful nausea and just wondering if there's any truth in how bad your morning sickness is based on the sex of your baby? I haven't been sick at all but have full on nausea for the majority of every day and wondered if this meant a girl? I know it's just an old wives tale but for a bit of fun, was it correct for anyone?

Wasn't true for me. I've two boys but had terrible morning sickness with one and none for the other.

Terrible morning sickness all day and night for 22 weeks and still on and off sickness at 34 weeks... We're having a boy - despite even my GP predicting girl! My mum had worse sickness with girls than boys. Every pregnancy is different

Pregnancy Sickness Support says 85% of HG pregnancies are female - however, mine was much much worse with DS than DD!

I had horrible morning sickness with DS but nothing like the HG ive had in this pregnancy and it's a girl.

Wasn't true for me, had no sickness with DD. Have felt rotten with this pregnancy which is a boy.

Was equally sick with dd and ds.

I have a DS and DD and my sickness was just as bad with both

I was bad with DD but am expecting DS and until recently was on medication for my sickness.
My SIL was the same, bad with her DD but hospitalised while expected DS.

But that could just be the result of it being harder to be pregnant when you've got a toddler.

Nope. Sick multiple times every day for about 25 weeks, including a few hospital trips for drip and anti-emetics and had a boy.

No sickness with my son. 3 week 24/7 pukeathon with my current pregnancy - a girl

I've had three boys and one girl.

Sick with all but with boys it was the kind of nausea that meant I could do very little for the first 16 weeks.

With my dd, I felt quite sick but not very sick.

I'm just so excited to find out what we've got! I'm 9 weeks and am having the harmony test in 2 weeks, so will be finding out what we've got with those results.

I was horribly sick with all 3, but with the boys it lasted about 5 months, while with DD it went on to about 7-8 months! I think perhaps the difference in boy/girl hormones do affect people differently, but the specifics vary from person to person.

Going by the old wives tales I was told I was having a girl by so many people, diff symptoms, worse sickness, carrying different... He's a boy though

Mild nausea with ds 1 and 2 much worse with dd and lasted longer.

Vomiting and constant nausea until week 15 with my little boy!

I had no sickness at all and had a girl.

41 weeks of HG vomiting 10+ times a day - two sons! If the old wives tales are true I don't think I'd survive a girl!

I had 18 weeks of HG with DD currently pregnant with DS now and only had bad nausea only vomited twice. Was still on medication as the nausea was quite bad but that went by week 15

Do people still indulge in these silly old wives tales?

DD and no sickness, barely any symptoms at all really.

Full on spewing with the two older dd's til the bitter end. Boy/girl twins just felt nauseas til bout 16 weeks, sick maybe 5 times at most. Im sure the wee man balanced it out lol

Not for me. I felt worse for longer with the girl, but had more nausea and sickness with the boys. With the girl, it was exhaustion and light headedness. I was only sick 3x with the girl, and daily with the boys.

I was sick 12-15 times a day for 4 months with DS.

Was / Is true for me.

With my son, i was a floaty queen, springing through the meadows, all blooming in frilly dresses and lots of energy. (well, you know what i mean)

This pregnancy is my 3rd girl. with each girl ive felt like i was/am dying. 30 weeks today and still suffering.
