Braxton hicks or something else?

Hello,

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and for the past week I've had regular tightenings low down when I walk, or sit down for too long - they come as regularly as every ten minutes, but feel more uncomfortable than painful. They also stop when I lay on my side.

I've been on the monitor twice with them at the day unit, and nothing's showing up. The hospital couldn't give me any answers and just said it wasn't contractions and my cervix was still shut.

I was just wondering if anyone has had anything similar? I'm feeling really uncomfortable and quite down about it now and not sure what to do or what's causing it.

Sounds like Braxton Hicks to me. I had quite a physical job and got them loads until they moved me to another department. They're fairly unpleasant. I still get them now (32 weeks as well) but not as often, usually when I'm doing something physically demanding, which tbh at the moment could be just going up the stairs!
I wouldn't worry too much, they do feel really odd but are harmless.

Yep, sounds like braxton hicks. They are a pain in the arse. I got loads with my second pregnancy and they bothered me most at night when I was trying to sleep or when I lifted my ds.
