Please share your stories: When and how did your nausea and sickness stop?

I'm 10 weeks pregnant with sickness keeping me off work the past three weeks and counting

Can you tell me when your nausea/ sickness subsided? And did it stop abruptly or just fade away gradually?

I'm 11+1 and mine had been slowly fading since the weekend. Mine hasn't been very bad at all though, mostly mild nausea, never been sick. Baby was bouncing around at a scan at 10 weeks so fingers crossed it's all still fine in there!

But my morning sickest was a proper fucker. It didn't go till about six months both times and there was still a residual sicky feeling left hanging about. I was never sick but just felt like a manky dog/hungover/stomach bug all the time.

I used to wear travel sickness wrist bands and grate raw ginger into a flash of hot water and drink it throughout the day. Poor you, it was so horrible.

Mine started to fade at around 15 weeks - by 19 it has totally gone. I've never felt better than in my second trimester - and never felt worse in my first!! Big congrats on your pregnancy and fingers crossed the nausea passes quickly.

24+2 and I'm still gagging, nauseous, throwing up and generally feeling shitty.

My last pregnancy (twins)- week 36. It faded away gradually until I was only sick once in a week. Admitted to hospital at 6 months with dehydration as struggled to keep any liquid (except hot chocolate) down. I found carbs the best food, jacket potato especially. I barely ate from week 28. I tried everything to stop feeling nauseous, nothing worked.

My previous pregnancy I was sick until about week 20 and found carbonated water and lots of carbs helpful.

Oh dear, I don't think you wanted posts mainly telling you it will go on for months did you? I had bad nausea from 7 weeks onwards, threw up nearly every day, sometimes more than once. It faded pretty quickly, I'd wake up in the morning, throw up and then feel okay for the rest of the day whereas before I'd feel sick more or less the whole time. Then one day I woke up feeling normal and that was it, I was nearly 13 weeks iirc. It took about ten days to go from really bad to zero.

Around 14 weeks in all three pregnancies. When the sickness stopped, so did the irritability.

In this pregnancy even without the sickness I felt exhausted until about 23 weeks - am now 27 weeks and feeling great. I realise this is feeling great is short lived, and expect things will start to go downhill as I enter the third trimester.

One morning at about 15 weeks I woke up and didn't immediately run to the toilet to throw up. It was magical. I think I felt even better than I would have done otherwise in the second trimester because I was so relieved I didn't feel nauseous.

Mine disappeared by 16 weeks.

Salt and vinegar walkers helped drastically, so did ham and cheese baguettes - all I existed on because cooked food set off the nausea.

14 weeks both times.

Green apples, mint and s&v Pringles and Mexican McCoys were about all I could stomach.

14 weeks all 3 times, just woke up one morning and felt human again.
Fruit pastilles and chewing gum helped me

I am 7+4 - nausea but only vomited once. Spectacularly and with no warning, in my secretary's bin.

I didn't want to read this thread but it's strangely compelling.

I didn't vomit but had nausea from week 6-11 and then it pretty much just stopped.

Mine stopped literally overnight at 10 weeks.

I started taking medication (cyclizine) at 11 weeks, which helped hugely but didn't totally eliminate the problem. I wish I had started it sooner! I weaned myself off it between 14-15 weeks, and by 16 was pretty much back to normal, though with the occasional evening vomit if I ate too much/some particular trigger foods.

Started week 5/6, finished week 14, both times. Sipping orange juice or eating orange segments helps. Avoid ginger biscuits or the weight will fly on.

Oh OP, you have my sympathy just keep focusing on the beautiful baby at the end!

I started feeling sick around week 5-6. It peaked around weeks 10-12 (utterly horrendous, would not wish it on my worst enemy) and after that it gradually started to subside. I would say that I felt considerably better by about weeks 14-15 and almost normal by about week 20. I am 35 weeks now and still get the odd wave of nausea or have to make a dash for the bathroom but it's maybe just a few times a week and more than manageable. Not like the constant nausea of early pregnancy.

I am seventeen weeks and watching with interest- still feel nauseous all the time and am sick once every few days. Hate hate hate it.

Congratulations! I was sick from 6-14 weeks then had good days and bad days from about 14-20 weeks. 20 weeks onwards was fine. Don't struggle, take time off work if you need to and get lots of rest.

I was sick several times a day from 6-11 weeks then it gradually got better after 12 weeks after i was admitted to hospital for dehydration. It made me feel instantly better and i could cope with the nausea/sickness after this. I never stopped feeling sick i had nausea pretty much the whole way through pregnancy but just learned to live with it and avoid trigger smells and food.

Went gradually by 14 weeks in three pregnancies.

I was sick most days from week 5 until about week 18 - then it went down to a couple of times a week until about week 23. Was nauseous most of the day (bar lunchtime when I was ravenous!).
I didn't want to scare/disappoint you but I got upset around the 14 week mark when I was still being sick so better to be prepared that it might not go away yet.

Have to say it has helped with overall Wright gain (lost in 1st trimester and only regained initial weight in 2nd but ate like crazy! Put on plenty now but not too much for the amount I've eaten)

I've had really bad nausea both times for the first few months. Rarely actually sick (when I was it was a relief, I wish I'd been sick more!). It faded at 16wks the first time and 14wks this time, although as the days of feeling sick receded the days of heartburn central took over. I seemed to go from one seamlessly into the other. Annoyingly both times I've had worse actual sickness once the nausea has gone as the heartburn makes me chuck up I'm now 31wks and sick at least every other day ATM. That said, although the heartburn is miserable, it's still preferable to the completely debilitating nausea.

9 weeks here in throes of constant nausea and intermittent vomiting. Just so fed up of not wanting to eat. Weirdly the only thing that relieves it is tiny sips of coke which is not ideal! Last time it stopped at around 13 weeks. I feel for you OP. Its draining!
