Am due dc3 later this year and would like to know other people's birth weights. I know this will have no influence over what mine will be but might reassure me....
DC1 was 7 1/2lb
DC2 was 10 1/2lb Shock
I'm just hoping that it's possible to have a smaller baby after a big one Confused
So did yours get bigger each time?

DD1 - 11lb 10oz
DD2 - 8lb 10oz

DD1 emergency Caesarian due to size.
DD2 planned Caesarian due to DD1's size and 1 week early X

NoCapes · 24/04/2016 22:11

DS1 - 40+5 - 8lb 5oz
DD - 40+9 - 8lb
DS2 - 39+6 - 8lb 11oz

40+6 8lbs13

StandoutMop · 24/04/2016 22:20

I have 3: 7lb 4, 8lb 8, 9lb, so mine did get bigger (sorry).

On a more helpful note, dsis has 4 and first was her biggest at almost 11lb. Next two were low 10lbs and final was 8lb 8. So no, they don't always get bigger, for which dsis is grateful Grin

AlexandraEiffel · 24/04/2016 22:23

8 11
8 2
Both similar gestation

SerenityReynolds · 24/04/2016 22:38

DC1 7lb 2oz at 41 weeks with venteuse
DC2 7lb 12oz at 40+5 no intervention

Both same sex. DC2 was much easier!

Shesinfashion · 24/04/2016 22:41

DD1, 4 days overdue, 7lbs, 11.
DD2, 2 weeks early, 6lbs, 4.

RueDeWakening · 24/04/2016 22:46

DC1: 9 lbs 8 oz
DC2: 3 lbs 8 oz (surviving triplet, 31 weeker)
DC3: 10 lbs 8 oz

Sorry, OP Grin

My 3rd was the smallest. First two fairly average sized though. :)

FirstTimeInForever · 24/04/2016 23:47

DS1, 36 weeks, 8lb 6oz, c-section...he was estimated to be around the 12 lb mark if I'd gone full term. Goodness only knows what weight he'd have been if I'd been overdue!

DS2, 37 weeks, 7lb 3oz, c-section...still not tiny even though he was early but nowhere near my first monster child!

DS1...I'll let you know at the end of August but he's already measuring 3 weeks bigger than he should!

needsadrinky · 24/04/2016 23:50

DS1 8lb 7oz 10 days late
DS2 8lb 8oz 11 days early
DS3 8lb 71/2oz 5days early
not much smaller but definitely smaller

Stellar67 · 24/04/2016 23:55

Mine were both 9lbs. But no2 was much easier than no1. (VBAC)

babyiwantabump · 24/04/2016 23:59

DC 1 7lb 4oz
DC 2 10lb 9 oz
DC3. 11lb 7 oz

WutheringFrights · 25/04/2016 00:05

DD 42+1 8lb 2.5oz
DS 41+3 9lb 2oz

TwoLittleBlooms · 25/04/2016 00:10

DD1 9lb 4.5oz (40 + 10)

DD2 9lb 9.5oz (40+ 1)

sillyoldfool · 25/04/2016 00:11

8lb 4oz
10lb 3oz
11lb 8oz

BUT the third (11lb8) was by far the easiest birth.
It's got much more to do with positioning than size. Don't slouch on the sofa! Hands and knees as much as possible.

Ludways · 25/04/2016 00:14

Ds 8lb 9izs 40+1
Dd 8lb 40+11

So smaller even though cooked 10 days longer.

genome · 25/04/2016 07:39

Dd1 8lb3oz 40+7
Dd2 8lb1oz 40+6

Dd1 had a very large head and was back to back for most of the 27 hours of labour, whereas Dd2 had a smaller head with better position and was 2 hours!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 25/04/2016 09:10

Ds1 6lb
Ds2 7lb 7oz
Ds3 7lb 2oz

Currently pregnant with ds4. My bump is at its biggest this time but I know that it's not usually an indication of size of baby. I hope not anyway.

Kenworthington · 25/04/2016 09:22

Ds1 9lb12, 42+2 weeks
Ds2 8lb13, 39 weeks
Dd 8lb5, 42+1 weeks

hobybabo · 25/04/2016 09:32

1 - 39+6, 7lbs 8oz
2 - 39+4 6lbs
3 - 38+4 6lbs 9oz

Jessh87 · 25/04/2016 09:46

Ds 5lb 9oz 40+5
Dd 8lb 5oz 42+0

Danglyweed · 25/04/2016 09:51

34 weeks 3lb 4
36+6 5lb 4
30 weeks dt1 3lb, dt2 2lb 8

So technically my babies weights have gone up (if you combine the twins weights).I guess theres no clear cut answer really. Good luck op

Ludways · 25/04/2016 09:53

Beautician 4 boys, that marvellous, I grew up dreaming of having a load of strapping sons. You're very lucky.
