i think baby's head has started to engage and im only 31 weeks-?

this is my 5th baby,due in march.ive been having really strong braxton hicks for the past week and getting alot of pain in my pelvis and lower back.now i can feel pressure 'down there' and when the baby moves i can feel it very low down.

i think with my last 2 the head started to engage at about 34 weeks,and it was later with the first 2.but i read somewhere that it normally happens later in subsequent pregnancies?

does anybody know what is 'normal'?i dont think i can cope with 9 weeks of that 'football hanging between the legs,need to pee every 5 mins or i wee myself' feeling

it is true! the hindwaters can leak, and then replenish and the sac can reseal....also, even if your waters have gone, as it were, then it doesn't mean labour will follow ....

if you think you are leaking amniotic fluid, pop a pad on, and then , , have a good sniff !! LOL! amniotitc fluid has a sweet smell.....

during later pregnancy you can get increased discharge ,but that tends to be creamier in colour and thicker.....and odourless!

no such thing as TMI when it comes to pregnancy!

i had a stretch and sweep when i was being induced with dd2 and the next day they broke my waters-the mw had to get the consultant to do it after 4 attempts.it wasnt an easy task!

hi, they just monitored me and bump for 30 mins and then said no need for internal, so thanks lulumama and all for being so great and helpful
