Pregnant very light brown CM very anxious after recent miscarriage

I am just past 6 weeks after suffering a missed miscarriage in December. I have brown tinged Cm for the last 2 days. It's not increasing and hardly there, it's not even there when I wipe only if I go looking TMI I know.

I don't know if to go to EPU, last time I can a scan then hard to wait 10 days for the next one. It was the worst time of my life. I really don't know what to do. I have no cramps. I had what I think was gastric cramps last Thursday and Friday because I vomitted afterwards and was fine. I still feel very tired. I have two children and I never had any spotting with them not even with my missed miscarriages. I have suffered two. One 10 years ago and the most recent this December. Please advice

I have had three pregnancies, two resulting in my lovely DDs. I have had spotting in all three. In my first pregnancy, I had huge gushes of red blood on a couple of occasions, as well as spotting until about 16 weeks. My second pregnancy, I had bleeding and labour cramps which sadly ended in MC. With my third, I again had spotting from about 9 weeks for several weeks, and then no movement felt at all until about 23 weels. DD2 was just fine. Just wanted to let you know you can have spotting and bleeding with a positive outcome. Good luck. X

I've had one dd, one mc and am 33 weeks pregnant currently. Bleeding in all 3 pregnancies so meant nothing for me - don't give up hope yet x

I had brown tinged cm on and off from about 4.5-6 weeks. Am now 9+6. There are any number of reasons for it- with your history I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry. If it's brown, it's old blood, probably dislodged by something (could be anything!). Try not to worry. And congratulations!

I had the nasty rusty brown blood and so have some of my friends, it's not nice and a worry but we all went on to have healthy babies

No - they didn't give any reason - I don't think they really investigate why unfortunately. Was told in this pregnancy that the big bleed at 13 weeks may have been placenta attaching but also had brown blood at twice earlier with no known cause.

With dd had red and brown bleed at about 5/6 weeks with excruciating cramps for about 4 weeks but all turned out ok.

Mc also had several episodes of brown blood but I don't think it signified the mc as it was a missed one - I think I just bleed in pregnancy whatever the result.

I know it's impossible but try not to panic. Is there any way you could pay for a private scan? I've had several and they give you so much more time and information into experience

I have managed to book a private scan later this evening. I am also going to the GP because EPU in my area need a Referal. I will update later.

Good, hopefully the scan and gp will reassure you. I had exactly the same at about 5-6 weeks both times and two healthy babies.

Loads of people seem to get this, for a variety of reasons (and sometimes you never find out why!) and yet the pregnancies survive. I really hope yours is one of those cases too

Thank so much ladies, I went to the GP this morning, she referred me to EPC and said because I had a miscarriage in December best I get it checked, she also reminded me that at 40 I had more chance of it going wrong, I reminded her of my miscarriage in 2005 when I was 29. Anyway she scared me.

I searched high and low for an early scan in my area no luck so found a place in Cardiff which is quite far. Well I had an abnorminal scan. Measuring 6 weeks my own dates using opk ovulation dates are 6.1 weeks. We saw baby with strong heart beat. She could not even see the bleeding. She assumes it's old implatation blood.

She didn't even want yo use the transvaginal scan because the picture is soooo good. We are so happy. 12 weeks scan next. Thank you again for the support. Hope some more ladies take comfort from this thread.

Wow! That's great news, you were very lucky to see a hearbeat that early on- you clearly have a high quality sticky bean.
My mw told me after lots of brown bleeding to not worry about it too much unless it's bright red.

Flourishing- you and I went through our mmc at the same time (I used to be Loki). I had a bleed at 6 weeks this time which was bright red. I think, like you, I caused it by continually checking my cervix. Brown blood could be implantation or you could be irritating your cervix. With early scans it can be hard to see anything before 7 weeks . Why don't you try ringing your midwife and seeing if you can have an early book in and scan. My midwife arranged for me to have a scan at 7 weeks or so. Good luck. Come and join us in the staying posifrickentive thread. We have all been through losses and the handholding really does help x
