Asda have the tommee tippee nappy disposal system at the moment for £20. Having a discussion with dh on merits of this vs a pedal bin and nappy sacks? Are the disposal refills expensive?
What are other people's opinions?

We used cloth nappies up until a few weeks ago (still using them at night, DD is 21mo) before switching her to disposable pull ups. For cloth nappies a bin with a mesh is essential. For disposables we just put the wee ones in the bin as is, and the poo ones have any solids turned out into the loo and flushed then put the nappy into a nappy bag. I take the soiled disposable nappies out to the outside bin once a day and we don't have smells. I don't think it's necessary to even have a regular dedicated bin for disposables let alone one of those cartridge thingies.

That gets emptied every 2-3 days, so god knows how often you'd have to empty one of the small nappy disposal systems!

About every 2 - 3 days...

Great if you live in a flat. We use ours still at 21months
