2nd pregnancy - hardly any symptoms

I'm 11+1 wks today and not due for a scan for another week and a half. I cannot help wondering (worrying more like) if everything is OK with baby no2 as, apart from having some morning sickness, there are no other obvious signs of this pregnancy. With dd I had experienced everything under the sun throughout the 1st trimester: morning sickness, peeing every half an hour, painful growing uterus, extremely tender breasts, tiredness ... the lot.
Any similar 2nd pregnancies out there?

With both my pregnancies I experienced very few early symptoms - just a tiny bit of queasiness with DS2.

It does make you worry and I had to see the scan before I believed I was pregnant!!

Some people say they experience more sickness etc with girls - so perhaps this baby is a boy?

I had no symptoms whatsoever for both pregnancies. Nothing at all. The only - very!- visible sign for #2 was that I started expanding right away!

Thanks for your replies and encouragement! I guess, the main source of my worry is the fact that this, effectively, is our 4th pregnancy...Sadly, the first two (both happened a long time ago) were terminated . All my previous pregnancies were almost identical at this early stage.
Would like to believe this gender prediction, but I heard plenty of counter-examples, too. I guess I just have to be patient. At times like this I wish that early scans would be common practise in the UK, just like in many other European countries.

I felt great the whole time I was pregnant with my first and she turned out perfect.

I read it somewhere that women who are prone to morning sickness (and over 70% of us are) are usually the ones:

  • who suffer from headaches/migraines
  • who suffer from side effects when taking the pill
  • whose mother/sister suffered from morning sickness
  • who carry twins/triplets etc
  • who carry girls

But you see, it could be any one of these or a combination of these?
Lucky you ladies, I know I belong in the third category .

...or none of these ...

I was the same as you, I had every symptom going when first pregnant with ds1. Yet with ds2 I had no symptoms whatsoever (apart from the obvious missed period). I didn't believe I could be pregnant until I saw the scan for myself. So please don't worry, I'm sure that everything is fine.
