Hi all,

I have a spiral staircase which leads from our bedroom into the loft conversion, I was gathering some washing, and started to come down the stairs when I fell from the top to the bottom. I have bruised my arm, bumped my head and I landed on one of the steps right on my back (I'm already suffering from really bad back pain) so now it's really painful.

I have felt movements since (this was about half an hour ago).

Should I ring anyone or just leave it? It's my second baby and I'm just panicking a little.

I'd call the midwife and ask...

Oh you poor thing. I'd call the maternity unit and get their advice. I'm sure it's fine if you've felt movements but it's worth getting checked out, just for your reassurance if nothing else.

Thank you for your replies, I'm about to call now Thanks

Ooof! You're going to really ache tomorrow, you poor thing.
Definitely give the maternity unit a ring, I'm sure they'd happily check you over.

I did similar at 37 weeks. Go and get checked, no one will mind at all.

BettyBi0 · 29/03/2016 16:03

Go get checked definitely. Poor you!

possum18 · 29/03/2016 16:11

Hope you and baby are okay!

That's good news. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.
