First timer in need of reassurance!

Hi all! I'm 7+4 weeks pregnant with my first baby. At 6+4 weeks I had some bright red bleeding but it went away by the middle of the next day. Today I've had a persistent watery brown discharge and some mild cramping on my lower left side. I don't feel like anything major is happening but I'm not all that knowledgable about pregnancy and don't really know what's normal. Has anyone experienced something similar? Should I contact a doctor or sit tight and hope it goes away!? Any advice would be gratefully received! Thanks! Xx

Contact the doctor as it will put your mind at rest. There can be implantation bleeding. I had bleeding at this stage with both my dcs and they were fine. My womb also felt funny when I was first pg.

Cramping is totally normal - your uterus is stretching. It may happen all the time or come and go. Brown discharge is old blood and pretty common too - generally also nothing to worry about.
Red blood can be more of a concern, but again smallish red bleeds aren't unheard of. There isn't a lot your doctor can do at this stage, its nerve wracking but hang in there

I had a fair bit of watery brown bleeding at about 12 weeks, it was nothing. The Dr told me that sometimes this can happen around when your period would have been due.

Thanks for the reassurance everyone. The brown spotting has continued over the weekend. Today I went to the bathroom and discovered red blood and some clots. I'm waiting to hear back from the midwife but just not sure how to feel right now. My cramps feel quite early period like and my only pregnancy symptom (really sore boobs!) has gone away. The waiting is horrible. :-(
