I'm 18 weeks pregnant and wondered when you all felt movements for the first time? I haven't felt anything yet. This is my first though. Just getting a bit paranoid!!
Thanks

I'm 19 weeks with my second. Over the past week I've started to feel the odd kick. I was scanned at 18 weeks and the baby was practically turning somersaults, but I couldn't feel a thing!

I was thinking about you this morning lelizabeth try playing music quite loud into your tummy it works for me, I lie on my bed put my hand over my uterus then blast uptown funk (baby's choice) it goes crazy, I'm 18 weeks with my second its more swishes and flutters at this stage I didn't feel a thing until 20 weeks the first time but this pregnancy I felt movement for 15 weeks I think because I knew what to look for and all the tricks to try (also chocolate and cold drinks).

Patience is not one of my virtues as you can see.

I will be 17 weeks on Monday.

I had this weird sensation the other day, a popping, like popcorn cooking.

Could this be early movement?

HeadTilt · 26/03/2016 10:14

Yes! Popping sensation is the start of feeling movement.

Thanks kiki22 I will try that!

I didn't feel anything until 20 weeks and then it was four little taps/pops - I had probably felt him a bit before but the regularity of the taps meant I was certain it was him and not gas!

Am 22 weeks now and usually I feel him a bit when I lie down to go to bed, it's still not that strong though and my DH can't feel him.

I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and have been wondering when I'll feel movement or whether certain sensations I'm feeling are actually the baby. I'be been feeling lots of things like a kind of shifting, some twinges, something like a popping, but it's often at night when I also have some ...shall we say.... Digestive discomfort! So I've been wondering if it's just gas. However, last night (and to some extent this morning) I felt something much more like a tap or a prod, which I'm excitedly hoping is the baby.

I have a mental (ridiculous) image of the baby purposefully prodding me to get my attention, which is making me smile.

19 weeks with my first and on and off from 17 weeks with my second.. But just flutters not proper kicks.. Can't remember when I felt kicks with my first and currently 19 weeks with second and still just flutters

I read something that said that they don't worry about it unless you get to 26 weeks and haven't felt anything. First time you don't feel it as early and, like another poster said, if you have an anterior placenta it cushions the movement so that you don't notice until later. Nothing to worry about for a while. I'm 18 weeks and still waiting on movement :)
