Should I ask about steroids?

I'm 22 weeks today and had a cervical stitch put in yesterday due to it shortening. When the anaesthetist was in seeing me this morning he asked if I'd been given steroids, but no one else has mentioned them. Should I push to get the injections or is there no point this early? The doctors said if I don't go into labour in the next 24 hours there is every chance I will get to full term or at least 27 weeks.

There's no point yet. They don't work as effectively if they're given too early.

Thanks, that's what I thought Smile

They won't give steroids until you are 24 weeks or very nearly 24 weeks
