Hi any young first time mums out there? Would love to hear how you're getting on. I am currently 6weeks and so nervous. Not a planned pregnancy but me and dh so happy. Terrified of all the things I read online and get panicky thinking about actually being a mum! Currently have no symptoms Sad but many say may be too soon or may not get any at all. It's all so overwhelming X

Hi,

I am going to be a young mum I am 7+6 with a planned baby

Baby40 · 21/03/2016 20:09

How are you finding it, do you have many symptoms yet? I'm so paranoid because I'm not feeling sick, my boobs don't hurt and I generally feel great!

I was 20 when I had my first, had no morning sickness and felt great! Had a great labour too.

Now pregnant with number 2, not as young and had morning sickness and everything

Congratulations 😤

Hi, congratulations! I'm a first time young mom too. Smile I'm 22, I'll be 23 by the time bab comes. I'm 12 weeks along and I worry about symptoms too; whether I have the right ones, how often I have them, how long they last for... Everything becomes a big worry when you're pregnant, it seems! But everything seems to be going well so far and I have my first scan on Wednesday. I'm so excited! Have you had any appointments yet? Smile

Whats your definition of young first time mum?

Baby40 · 22/03/2016 11:45

I worry about everything! I have my midwife app on the 19th but I've booked a 8 week scan on the 9th and I'm hoping it goes quick I really want to know all ok so far! Grin

Hey :) I am 23 and 8 months pregnant with my first child. I didn't find out until I was 8 weeks and the symptoms only started around then with being extra tired and nauseous at random times of the day so there is still time for you to experience symptoms! It is always daunting before you've had a scan to be sure that everything is OK so I know how you are feeling!

It is nice to hear of other young pregnant ladies on here as before I felt very alone being the only Mum or Mum to be in my friend group!!

FattyNinjaOwl · 22/03/2016 16:15

Not currently pregnant but just popping on to say:
When I was pregnant with DS1, at 16 I had no symptoms at all. Wouldn't have known I was pregnant if not for the bump. I was 17 when I had him.
I'm now 24 with 2 more. You'll be fine. Congratulations.

emilygremily · 22/03/2016 19:11

So far I have hardly any symptoms except my porn boobs, I have been sick once

thehisuix · 23/03/2016 08:01

Hiya, I'm 22 soon and going to be a young mum and am currently 20 weeks 2 days. I actually had no symptoms until last month when I started peeing alot, sleeping more and having heavier boobs. After taking the test to see it come out positive, I started worrying about everything. What I eat, how I excerise, how my skin looks. All silly little things. :P I had my first scan yesterday and met my baby girl. I couldnt believe it when she told me I was 20 weeks! So try not to worry I'm sure soon you'll start feeling those symptoms :) xx

Baby40 · 23/03/2016 12:53

Thank you all for your comments. I think I should be 6-2 today and have my 8 week scan booked for the 9th April. Time is going so slow I'm finding myself getting annoyed about people getting so excited for me as in so worried something will go wrong! Roll on the 9th!!! Xx

Aww 9th April is my birthday too hehe! Wishing you luck ;-) xx

Chillyegg · 23/03/2016 14:24

Hi all
I had my dd at 22 she's nearly one.
I think the age thing is irrelevant quite frankly just focus on looking after yourself. Don't read anything on the Internet. Youll just scare your self and you dont know who's written it and so it could be a load of shit.
I had the feelings of being scared and panicky I wouldn't worry there normal. If you do at anytime feel like your anxious and feel hopeless then speak to your midwife.
Congratulations all Flowers

Everythinggettingbigger · 23/03/2016 14:38

I turned 21 2 weeks before my DS was born.....he's now 5 and I am pregnant with DS2! Pregnancy was fine...even carried on and finished my degree! Enjoy this time as much as possible because if you do have any more children you will already have one to look after Grin

Congratulations!
