Grandmothers Margaret (she refuses to answer to it, to the point where at a doctors appointment she was looking round for another Margaret, she goes by Rose) and Doreen.

DPs are Joyce & Joan

peachypips · 22/03/2016 20:56

Dora Florence and Rosa Elizabeth. Would have used both of those but my damn womb won't make a bloody girl!

weegiemum · 22/03/2016 20:56

Jessie and Janet.

dd2s middle name is Jessie

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 22/03/2016 20:57

Babs and Betty.

I'm not sure they're the kind of old fashioned you're looking for.

Terramirabilis · 22/03/2016 20:59

Olive and Honor (Always known as Nora). Can't see the former coming back in anytime soon but Nora is probably still popular. The "old lady" (sorry for offending anyone) name that I do like is Doris (meaning: gift) but I just can't get away from the association.

SingingSands · 22/03/2016 20:59

Mary (great grandmother), Isabella and Audrey

Mummynextdoor · 22/03/2016 21:03

Edith and Evelyn

Couldn't persuade DH to use either though :0(

shushmonster · 22/03/2016 21:16

Lillian, Emma, Holly and Margaret either Grannies or Great Grannies. Other names from that generation Hazel, Christine and several Elizabeth's.

I think Nora is massively underused.

puffylovett · 22/03/2016 21:40

Olive and Mary, and I had a great aunt Alice

Hepzibar · 22/03/2016 21:41

Suzannah and May

Sisters of Suzannah - Jessica, Sarah, Ria and Norah (all long gone)

Sister of May - Lilian

Quietlygoingmad67 · 22/03/2016 21:43
