It happened in my third pregnancy too.

What is this?

The baby moves so strongly and it's making my bump literally click!

I have this and I'm expecting my third, too!

All of my pregnancies have done this. I can only assume it's some sort of pressure or movement from baby causing our spine to click it is it the babies joints?!

Either way, I know EXACTLY what you mean and I'm glad someone else has experienced it as when I told my midwife, she just gave me a look like this Confused

Baby has hiccups?

HarrietSchulenberg · 17/03/2016 00:19

He's managed to get a Rubik's Cube in there to while away the time?

I had a clicky bump too with DS1, it was so loud my DH could hear him too. I asked the midwife and she said they don't know for definite but it's assumed it's joints clicking and that babies are squashed into a tight space so hips, knees, shoulders etc... Can click due to that and loose ligaments. Absolutely no discomfort or pain to baby but weird for us Grin

12 years I've been on MN and somebody asks this every couple of months. It's never been definitively answered. It's not hiccups. I know that much. Maybe they're beat boxing?

Oh, I'm glad this isn't just me! 38 weeks with DC2 and I've noticed clicking for a few weeks now. Never had this with DD, although she moved a good deal less so maybe it's tied up with that. Also posterior rather than anterior placenta this time so maybe click noises are nearer the surface and easier to hear?!

littleraysofsunshine · 18/03/2016 11:36

Definitely not hiccups. That's a whole other ball game!

I think it is where it's so squashed in there but not in pain obviously.. But it's loud enough for dp to hear too and it does do it when baby is moving very strongly.

It's just bizarre!!
