no reply from midwives

I have been told by my GP that I need to contact my midwife in order to get a referral to an obstetric pysiotherapist. The GP said she couldn't refer me (hopeless). I have rung the midwives 3 times since before xmas (allowing that they might be shortstaffed over the holidays), but still have no reply. What shall I do now?

Keep trying and if you don't get anywhere, go bck to GP and tell her you can't get hold of MW. Good luck!

Or if able to do so, present yourself to the local birth centre and ask to see a midwife.
