Maternity Leave

Planning ahead a bit as I'm only 21 weeks but really looking forward to finishing up at 36 weeks for 4 weeks annual leave before official maternity leave (agw). It will be the longest I've ever had off work at one time.
I'm hoping the weather will be nice so I can get out in the garden a lot but who knows.
Looking for suggestions of books to download on my kindle and series to watch if anyone has any?
Will get out and about a few times a week also but it will be nice to relax a bit too Grin

Be careful that you don't lose your holiday days if you go into labour earlier than 40 weeks. Check with hr if that would happen or not.

I only finished at 38+1 so didn't get a chance to watch or read anything before DD was born, but managed to watch orange is the new black when she first arrived and slept all day. I guess it's down to personal preference but I've been reading all Jilly Cooper's books and Game of Thrones! I also buy 99p crime thriller books on Kindle which are hit and miss.

Make sure you get out of the house otherwise you'll go mad with boredom. I'd never had so much time off either and I'm on month 10 and can't wait to go back to work so I have something to do!

Forgot to say - make the most of the tv, about 12 weeks my DD stopped letting me watch TV and demanded all my attention. Now all I get to watch is Bing!

Seven I won't lose my days, they would either be added onto my leave or I can request to be paid for them.

Charlie orange is the new black will go on my list. I've heard it's good. When I try to think of a list of programmes my mind goes blank though!
Game of thrones books will also go on my list.

I was told any holiday booked can be carried over, but not holiday I haven't booked. I'm taking annual leave from 32 weeks - for five weeks - then I start maternity leave at 38 weeks. Six weeks to go and it can't come quick enough. I'm only 26 weeks but it's becoming more and more uncomfortable to sit at my desk.

I watched all of breaking bad on maternity leave when DS was very little. Also read the hunger games books.
