Planning a 3rd, is it madness?

Just wondered if anyone could offer any advice. I have two girls, 2yrs and 6mths and would really like to try for a boy. Am I mad? Are there any methods for conceiving a boy? My dh is in the forces and goes away May 2007 for 6 mths was also wondering if we should try before he goes or when he gets back.

lovebabies-no, it isn't madness at all. I have 2 girls 3 1/2 and 6 months and would love a 3rd but not until DD2 is at least 1 1/2 so next December/January How would you cope if you get PG before DH leaves and are left looking after a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old? Also, what if he is away when the baby is born?

I would wait until he gets back but whatever you decide-good luck!

Trying for a third baby isn't mad. Trying for a boy might be. How upset would you be if it was a girl? Would you have another baby to see if it was a boy?

The theory is that you have sex after you've ovulated - boy sperm swim faster but don't live as long. This is obv not v accurate though!

i have a 6yr old a 20 month old and I'm due the third in four weeks, go for it. But being a navy wife I would say maybe wait till dh gets back cause it is harder being pg when you have little ones already

If this is what you want, go for it, it might take a while to conceive anyway. I wouldn't worry about a boy/girl, what will be will be.

I am pg with dc 3

have 2 boys

ds 1= 2yrs 11 months
ds2= 17 months

both boys were concieved DTD on Ovulation day only.... we only had sex 1/2 times both months we concieved. Sex selection is a BIG gamble so I'd only have a third if you would be happy with another girl.... or else you might end up being tempted to have dc 4...... etc etc etc
