Coughs and Colds Etc

I'm really worried! I've got a bad cold - I have a runny nose, a chesty cough, headaches, sickness and diahorrea.
I'm worried that it may affect the baby... I'm 28 weeks pg. Any advice?

sorry you are poorly...LO will be just fine and will continue to use all your reserves, so you will feel awful and baby will be fine!

make sure you replace the fluids you are losing though with D&V and if you are having trouble keeping fluids down, call the midwife....

you can take a couple of paracetomal if you feel truly awful or a hot lemon drink.....steam over hot water too....

try and eat lightly if you can...but don;t panic if you can't

not sure there is much you can take while pregnant, certainly no decongestants or the like and some debate about the safety of olbas oil too....

just have to ride it out and rest as much as possible x

babies in the womb can do very well in the most adverse of circumstances, a cold & cough and bug will not affect him .... you can concentrate on getting yourself well..x
