If you had morning sickness, how soon did it start?!

I'm day 21/22 of my cycle and we are TTC. For the last few days I have been feeling really sick! Is it too soon to have morning sickness when I haven't even tested yet?

For those of you who did have morning sickness, when did it start? Has anyone else felt like this and then found out they were pg? I didn't really have any nausea or sickness last time around.

I won't be online much today but I will try to and check back as soon as I can. I appreciate all your replies!

Thanks furryfox, I do too, although all these stories of hyperemesis don't look good do they?! I hope the clearblue fairy isn't listening, but I may buy a Predictor pg test and test early! I will feel really silly if i'm not though!

BTW my friend had HG with her first pregnancy (girl) for about 6 months. The second pregnancy (boy) she didn't have a single day of nausea even, so it can be very different. About a week after my bfp, vomiting continued until about week thirteen, then nausea on and off throughout. I'm 28 weeks and still feel nauseous but haven't been sick often since the first trimester, thankfully!

threw up twice a day like clockwork from week 7 till week 28.

Boy oh boy it was joyful, wonder how all my teeth didnt fall out. Oh wait, yes they did.

Mrsbeee, dont worry about the hyperemesis thing, Im sure this is one of those times when you get to hear all the horror stories and not the majority.

Thanks MrsBeee, encouraging to hear your friend didn't have it with her second pregnancy. I'm sure you haven't got HG, it's just like what madmarch said, we see an opportunity and we're off

As katz said, very early but I ahd hyperemesis also; very early sickness can be a sign but not necessarily so. Its mroe people with HG tend to have had early sickness, than people who ahd early sickness tend to ahve HG- if you can see what I mean.

And HG can disappeat after one PG, get milder but still be there (as with me) or start out of the blue- or for ne poor soul I supported, get worse! (I used to volunteer for blooming awful).

Nobody knows the cause really, but my guess is that they're variable and why you had the HG affects what happens next time, iyswim.

FWIW there is a huge link between tiredness and ANY nausea in pregnancy and rest is essential in reducing sickness. Rest, Drink, Eat what you can if you can- that's the advice we always gave.

My morning sickness started within a week of conception with DD1, and the vomiting lasted until week 35.

But fortunatety my second pregnancy was far better, and I didn't have morning sickness until about week 7, and although it hung around for the whole of the pregnancy, it wasn't very severe.

I had dreadful morning sickness with all of mine, and with one of them, I definitely started feeling sick BEFORE the pregnancy showed up on a test. I tested again a few days later, and it was positive....good luck!

well, I'm sat here feeling sick again Jeez, either I really am pg or I have a horrible virus. DH thinks I am. I am 70/30 in favour of pg odds! I don't know if I can wait another week to find out... but i guess i'm going to have to!

I agree with madmarchhare, I myself enjoy bleating on a regular basis!

Anyway at least if in a worst case scenario the sickness does progress you have an early indication of what your dealing with and plenty of MN'etters to support you and give you tips on how to get through it!

Well i did a test on 7th and am due on the 10/11th i think (irregular cycle last few months, although usually bang on 28 days). Test was negative (not surprisingly though) so still playing the waiting game. My test with DS didn't show up BFP until the day after I was due so not expecting an accurate result yet, am just too impatient! Still feel quite sick most of the day, and at night when up with DS, which is quite horrible. Have also started feeling beyond tired the last few days.

my sickness started at 3w.

I was sick with all my pregnancies from quite early on, but the earliest started with my second pg at 4 wks when we were expecting twins. Awful awful experience in every sense...especially because it had to be terminated due to this severe sickness - I was still at university .

Sorry to hear you experience murcimari. I was reading all about HG on a great website posted by PeachyClair, which has lots of helpful tips about dealing with extreme nausea sickness in pregnancy. I really hope I don't get HG though, if indeed I am even pg (MrsBeee ponders some more... ).

i started to feel sick the week before my period was due, although i didnt get a bfp until af was actually due. it lasted until 17weeks. it was horrid. only had it mildly with ds, think it lasted 6wks then and i thought that was bad. Am 23+3 atm and am so pleased i am ms free.
