hi,
dd is been poorly last couple days, now i have pretty bad cough and runny noise. im having a cup of lemsip rght now,on label it ays ask your doctor. it only conains paracetamol. i thought paracetamol was only one medicine allowed whilst pg. or is things changed in 2 years.
any ideas? what do you have normally when pg? i just cant think atm.

btw, im only 8-10weeks, dont know exactly yet, waiting or dating scan soon.

aww congrates firstly diva I didnt know. In terms of flu and pregnancy I was always told you cant have anything apart from actual paracetamol so no lemsip as it has something in it to stop the snottiness..cant remember what its called.

I think it's the decongestant in Lempsip and other cough/cold medicines that is the problem, not the paracetamol - which is fine. don't panic though, one cup of Lempsip isn't likely to do any harm - I expect they can't recommend it for the usual reason that it's very hard to test anything on pregnant women. But anything with a decongestant in it will either say not recommended or ask your doctor.

Thanks just fnished my cup of lemsip, nor more again.
Will have paracetamol.
