Baby only kicks for us

I'm 25 weeks pregnant (well I am tomorrow), and have been feeling dd kick since 16+3, Dh a little while later. She is a very active baby and kicks all the time for us, especially when we talk to her which is so amazing! Sometimes she wouldn't have moved for a while, then Dh sits next to me and starts talking, and she'll start kicking. However she won't kick for anyone else -she'll be moving then as soon as someone else tries to feel she stops, and she is also quieter if I'm spending time with people other than Dh.

I'm a housewife so spend a lot of time by myself so she is very used to only hearing my voice and Dh's voice most of the time. She moved for my mum once but other than that seems to become 'shy'. Has anyone else found this or knows why she only moves for us?

I know it doesn't really matter but I'm just curious, Dh also loves that she only seems to like us haha Smile Thank you!

This is so weird as this is exactly the same for my husband and I! I'm now 26 weeks and have felt her for the last 5-6 weeks and she will only move for us, as soon as someone else puts their hand on my tummy she instantly stops haha. I was trying for about 2 hours today so get her to wriggle so my mum could feel but she wasn't playing ball!

snap here too, how strange. i said this to DH couple weeks back. :-) very cute though, they know who their mummy/daddy are.

Awwh it's not just us then Smile it is very sweet, I just feel bad when my family are desperate to feel her kick!

Hello - this sounds totally normal to me. DC1 wouldn't kick for anyone else, not even my DH and that was the case throughout the whole pregnancy. I'm hoping this time around that DH will get to feel a few kicks at least.

Same! 29 weeks now (2nd DC) and he is a constant wriggler (to the point its made me vomit!) but the second anyone tries to feel he stops! even if I try to film my bump jumping about as hes moving he stops the second I press record!

Haha, I'm certainly not alone then! It's quite sweet really (although a shame for others), as it shows just how secure they feel with us I guess Smile

ds1 would only kick for me and my husband.
This pregnancy I'm 16 weeks so it's only me able to feel it atm
