Hi I just thought it would be nice to start a chat with other mums who are pregnant with number 4,5,6 or more.

I am expecting ds4 in July. I thought we could talk about how we are finding pregnancy this time around and any concerns we have about having a larger family.

I can't wait to be part of a big family although obviously done things I'm nervous about. My three children are aged 11,10 & 3.

Hi all just spotted this thread!

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow with DC4

Current DC are 8, 6 and 2

See one or possibly two familiar names from the October thread!

We found at the 20 week scan that we are having another boy. It just makes it easier to decide on bedrooms etc.

Anna my ds1 is autistic and it means ds2 is a little babyish for his age as he copies a lot of ds1s behaviour.

Hi all, I have my 20 week scan on Wednesday and I am going to find out the sex. That said I had a scan at 14 weeks and the sonographer said that it "looked like" a boy, so I have assumed up to now that it probably is. I already have 2 boys, and a girl who is basically a boy in disguise so another boy will fit right in here.

Is anyone feeling a bit more pelvic heaviness than in previous pregnancies? So far I've managed to avoid any issues with wetting myself etc. but I'm feeling a bit more pressure in this pregnancy and it's making me worried (I'm a naturally neurotic and anxious person Grin). I'll ask them to have a look to make sure all is ok on Wednesday and try to lay off the horror stories you come across online.

May I join please? Expecting dc4 at the end of April. Current dcs are ds12, dd9 and ds2yrs. We always planned 2 batches but a bit closer together although it's actually worked out very well. We bought a 5 bed house 18months ago and have filled it very quickly! Fanks, good to hear you like your Volvo as this is what we are hoping to get. Need to get on with it now though! Pregnancy wise I'm finding it hard work, I got asked if I was overdue today, I'm only 33weeks! This will be our last. Wishing everyone healthy pregnancies!

Welcome newbies and congratulations Flowers
fanks I have 3 girls too + 2 boys I am secretly hoping this one will be a boy too to make it even
Do you know if your' e having another girl or a boy ?

sidonie1 · 16/03/2016 07:09

Hi everyone, congratulations! I'm 6 weeks preg with baby number 4 and am freaking out a bit. I have a 3-yo, and twins who are 20 mths. Wanted them all close and thought it was a great idea in theory, but a bit terrified about how we will cope and hoping we don't have a second set of twins. Obviously feeling hugely blessed too, just a bit anxious...

Donnadoon · 16/03/2016 12:10

Oh congratulations sid Flowers
You will be fine, tired and chasing your tail all time as you prob are already Grin but fine :)

sidonie1 · 16/03/2016 21:06

Thanks Donna, sure you're right 😊

fanks · 17/03/2016 15:18

Donna having a boy this time 😳
I spy I'm loving the Volvo so far, lots of room!!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 17/03/2016 16:09

DrAmanda I hope your scan went well. Did you find out the sex?

Ispy not long to go for you. I'm a little worried as I'm struggling already and I'm only 24 weeks. I feel like I have a waddle.

Sidonie welcome & congratulations. I still find twins amazing. I'm sure if it is twins again you will cope fine. I was watching a programme the other day where a couple had quads all girls. I said to DH wow how do they cope? But you just have to I guess. I'm sure it's hard work but also so rewarding.

Fanks ahh a boy congratulations. I love having boys. Good job really as soon I'll have 4 Shock

Hi everyone, hope all is well!

Beautician - we had the scan, it's a boy! Boy no. 4 for us, as my partner has a son from a previous relationship.

The scan went well, but I need to return next week because he was in an awkward position and they were unable to get a proper view of the heart and mouth. A 20 minute walk and he still wouldn't budge! (Must be my stubborn genes Grin) .

We've also purchased a 7 seater, in the end we went with a Volkswagen Touran.

sidonie1 · 19/03/2016 09:44

Thanks Beautician! DrAmanda, congratulations! We also have a Touran. It's nice and big without feeling like a tank.

SmoresCheesecake · 20/03/2016 08:00

Joining in.
I am currently 9 weeks pregnant with DC6.

I have 2 boys and 3 girls, so DH and I have decided that this child will be a surprise and we won't be finding out the sex at the scan.

Our children are 18, 17, 11, 9 and 4. We won't tell them until after the first scan at least.

I've been so tired and cold since about 4 weeks, hoping it won't last much longer and I get back to feeling normal.

Beautician My teenagers have only recently stopped putting clean clothes in the washing basket.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 20/03/2016 08:26

Smores congratulations. I would love 6 but we can't afford it. I figure that once you have 3 you are outnumbered anyway so any more can't make that much difference. I like your age gaps. Do they all get on ?

OP posts:
SmoresCheesecake · 20/03/2016 09:07

They usually all get on now. There were a few years when the teenagers argued about everything, but they seem to be really close again now and are always giggling together.

The 11 and 9 year olds are very close, and everybody adores the 4 year old.

DrAmandaBentley · 20/03/2016 10:57

Thanks sidonie The Touran really is nice, we took it out for a spin (all 7 of us including stepson) to the park yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it felt, yet it doesn't feel like a huge van! I'm still teasing my OH as when he was a much younger man (with a full head of hair) he used to make fun of a much older colleague who had an MPV and made him very cross. The colleague would always respond with "that'll be you one day"...little did he know! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

As for now we're looking at double prams - the best and smallest I can find at the moment is the Peach Blossom twin, but it's close to £1000! This is the first time I've had to consider a double as my other 3 have 4 years between them.

Congrats Smores, I too wouldn't mind 6 now I'm already at 4, and all together we've got 5. One more wouldn't hurt Grin. You never know, after every child up to now I always said never again. I don't think people believe me anymore!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 30/03/2016 07:59

How are you all? I've had a super busy bank holiday weekend as we moved house. Now that we have moved and getting settled I guess it's time I started buying baby items. I have clothes from ds3, a jumperoo, baby bath and highchair. We had started to sell some items as number 4 took so long to conceive we were convinced it wouldn't happen.

I have bought the pushchair, play mat and a Ewan dream sheep. I think today I'm going to order the Moses basket, stand, cot bedding and change mat.

Anyone that's had a fourth already what was the labour like. I usually have my babies pretty close to their due dates. Ds1 was born day before due date, ds2 day after & ds3 3 days after. I'm hoping this baby arrives close to due date so that we have a bit of time to get into some sort of routine before the children break up from school. Baby is due 8th July & the school holidays start 15th July.
