I'm 38. Took 5 years and an mc before I got pg with dd who is now 17 months and born by emcs.

Ds is 3 weeks old and born by elcs. Nobody told me that it was too soon just that I'd definitely need another cs.

Recovery feels the same as did the procedure etc but I am struggling with dd a bit. It's been really hard not being able to lift her but I think it's a small price to pay. Given my age I didn't want to leave it much later but it was a huge surprise getting pg so quickly after dd.

My consultant said to wait 9 months before getting pregnant again - so an 18 month age gap minimum.

I had a planned section and was told that I'd have good odds for a vbac next time around. My consultant said to aim for an age gap of 2 years minimum - ie ttc from 15 months ish. I wanted to hurry up because of age but my periods took forever to come back and when they did they were quite irregular. I'm pretty glad now as we'll have a slightly larger age gap and the extra few months around turning 2 have been huge in terms of language and understanding so hopefully it'll be a bit easier

I had 17 months between dc3 and 4, all 4dc were sections and dc4 was over 11lb. My sister had 13 months between her dc1 and her twins.

I had a c section 14 months ago and I'm 18 weeks pregnant. There will be a 19 month age gap. I miscarried in September so it was nearly a 17 month gap. I don't think you need to wait.

I think if you are happy to have a c section for your second then there isn't the same encouragement to wait a bit
