Panicking!

Hi, I'm new on here and hoping for some advice. I'm 10 weeks pregnant (fingers crossed) but it's not been plain sailing so far. I experienced some bleeding at week 6 which only lasted a couple of days so popped to my GP who told me to retest a week later, this test was positive! I was still sceptical but my GP and MW assured me I was probably still pregnant. I am now 10 weeks, no further bleeding slight twinges lower tummy and have felt very tired( no sickness or sore boobs). I retested yesterday(10w) and have a very faint positive I'm now wondering if I am still pregnant or if I had an early miscarriage? It's felt like a very long worrying time not knowing, any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. X

Can you contact your gp or midwife for an earlier scan? I was scanned at 10 weeks due to spotting (everything was fine) not sure if I was lucky to get one though.

Pregnancy is such a worrying time u never truly relax completely - if I were you I'd go back to GP or MW and ask for an early scan only way to truly know what's happening!! It's not unusual to get a bit of bleeding in the early days so might be nothing good luck hope u get ur answer soon xx

Please don't worry about the test being faint. To be honest I'm surprised it was positive at all at 10 weeks.

As your hormones ramp up it has an odd effect on pregnancy tests which are designed to detect very small amounts of hormones. Basically the fact that you have so much hormones in your urine means that the test gets flooded and give false negatives.

The likelihood is that you still have a perfectly happy baby bobbing around in there as bleeds in early pregnancy are very common and as long as they aren't accompanied by pain they are usually nothing to worry about.

You only have 2 weeks until your 12 week scan so I would hold tight if I were you.
