Ballooning early with second pregnancy

I am currently about 5 weeks pregnant or near enough 5 weeks and I am starting to literally balloon out and look about 3 months pregnant! I'm been constantly sick and nauseous and eating when I can but I'm just wondering if anyone's been like this especially expecting their second?

I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and was exactly the same. I was even thinking it was twins at one point because I was so much bigger this time around. But my scan showed 1 little baby so just bigger I guess! The midwife said that its common in second pregnancies to pop out a lot earlier as the muscles have already stretched once.

I feel so fat haha thank you! You too! Hopefully getting an early scan today so I can see what's exactly going on. Symptoms are so much worse compared to having my first now! X

I didn't have this (but am pregnant with my first so belly has never stretched before), and have heard it's often just bloating in the beginning, then doesn't grow too much more until baby is getting bigger?

I was in maternity jeans at 9 weeks with my second. I had form for massive bumps, though!

Getting a dating scan tomorrow so hopefully something shows up to explain this

One of my friends is going through her second pregnancy at it was the same for her. Baby will be around the same size - it's just that your belly has already been stretched out once :)

Yeah I'm currently 14wks with DC2 and Iv been in maternity jeans from around 8weeks as my belly has just ballooned. Today I look about 5 months pregnant God help me in a couple of weeks ha ha

A long time ago for me now, but yes this was me on second baby and could have been the same on 3rd but had gd, so don't know about that one

The midwife told me it was because your stomach had already been stretched once after the first so it stretched quicker the second time.
have no idea if this even makes sense let alone being right.
This was 1994 though.

Just worrying because of obviously miscarriage and things just worry a lot about it. Scan shall ease my mind fingers crossed!

I'm 35 weeks with second pregnancy, I was definitely bigger in my first trimester but I'm a very similar size, maybe even smaller, at this point than I was last time. Don't panic!

Just a worrier I am getting sharp pains in my right side near my pelvis and I am worried incase it's etopic .

They couldn't see a sack, my dates must be very wrong or either the pregnancy is failing .

Yeah iknow it is I just have no patience or any idea how far along I am at this stage.

My levels went from 625 - 1300 and I went to doctors who confirmed I have a urine infection. So I wonder if that's why I am having the pain in my back and to the lower right side . Has anyone had a uti and had lower right abdomen symptoms like a sharp pain?
