What if it's not gd?

Silly question really but I am booked in to be tested for gd after baby measuring in at 8lb's at 35.4 weeks Shock
The hospital were less than useless really at telling me what it would mean if it was/wasn't gd but from my own investigations if it is gd I will be monitored with the possibility of being induced rather than being allowed to go overdue, but what if it's not? I have been booked in for another measurement scan on the 16th March by which point I will be 37.4 but by my calculations baby could be 10lbs by then, would I still be allowed to go overdue if that was the case? Both my previous pregnancies had to be induced as dc's where way too comfy in there but the thought of what size the baby could end up if I do this time quite frankly terrifies me Confused

Remember also that scans aren't always that accurate so baby may not even be that big

I have similar no gd after two tests my midwife isn't concerned and said growth scAns aren't really accurate, they aren't overly concerned about big babies more babies that aren't growing!

Yes I keep telling myself it could be inaccurate and better too big than too small but i am struggling so much as it is now and just can't imagine another 5 weeks of pregnancy followed by the labour of such a big baby if I go overdue again, it's the thought of going overdue with a 10lb plus* baby that scares me, I keep getting these waves of horror every time I consider it Confused
At this point my best case scenario is the measurements mean the pg is more advanced (there has been a bit of questioning re my due date) and I am able to go myself without going overdue and needing another Induction

The exact same thing happened to me. Baby measured 8lb at 35 weeks and I was tested for GD.

No GD and I was left to it. DS was born at 41+1 weighing 10lb 6oz so the scan wasn't accurate
