Ok I'm freaking out! Had loads of cramping last few days now this!!

Had it before my period was due with a bit of blood and thought it was my period starting then got my bfp a few days later but not has many preg symptoms. Never had any spotting with my first pregnancy so I'm thinking the worst!

Don't know what to do and home myself

Hey
The worrying Is the worst! Did you speak to your GP? Or call (if you have one near by) Early Pregnancy Unit.

Sorry I didn't want to leave you worried and alone... I can't be of much help otherwise still trying to ttc #1.

Praying it's a sticky bean for youThanks

I had this with both my pregnancies at 6 weeks. I had an early scan the first time and the sonographer said that 5-6 weeks is a very common time for implantation bleeding as it burrows further in.

I had it with this pregnancy too for a few days at exact same time (to the day!) and a private scan at 7.5 weeks has shown all is well.

Do you have an EPU? They might scan you but 5 weeks is probably a little early to see much Flowers

Meant to say the spotting lasted about 10 days the first time and about 5 days this time so it can last a while.

You are not alone, several other posters (including me) have been going through the same thing recently. We know it's really, really difficult because there's nothing you can do, it will be what it's going to be, and when you're very early even an early scan won't tell you much. However you will have lots of good wishes from your fellow 1st trimester ladies, and I hope you have some decent support in rl too.

Spotting is supposed to be very common (I didn't have it with my first though so found it frightening this time), so it's not necessarily a sign of mc, but I really feel for you because only time will tell how things work out xx

Thanks everyone, as if pregnancy isn't worrying enough without things like this chucked in! I've been googling the life out brown spotting and it mostly seems to be fine but I know it could go the other way to. Just need to keep everything crossed. I haven't had much more and no bad cramps just the dull ache I've had on/off since I got my bfp.

Paying for an early scan is starting to get more and more appealing to me, will see how the next few weeks go! Xx

Hi OP, I'm currently 10+3 and I have had brown spotting on and off for the whole pregnancy so far. I had an early scan at just over 6w and saw baby and hb and all looked fine. Nurse said she couldn't find a reason for my spotting as no blood/free fluid in the uterus so most likely cervical irritation causing little bleeds. I am booked in for another early scan Monday to check things are going to plan and the my next one will be 12-14wks. Phone your EPAU, midwife or GP and ask to be referred for a scan. They may wish to wait for 6-7weeks to get more info but sit tight. Good luck. X

everything's still fine I had a little more last night (weird how it's only been in the evening!) phoned epu yesterday and they said it's really common, too early for a scan and to take another preg test in weeks time to make sure everything is fine which it should be unless I get heavy bleeding but what I've had has still only been brown so fingers crossed it will be ok!

Still gonna worry all week though!

My sister had a lot of spotting and bleeding, her baby is now 6 Smile.

I had no spotting/bleeding at all and had a miscarriage. Spotting doesn't always mean something is wrong, my sisters doctor told her sometimes the baby needs to wriggle in a bit and you get bleeding, when she bled the second month they said some women spot/bleed every month.

It is worrying though, I hope you can distract yourself a bit this week. Flowers
