Nearly at due date, long naps?

Firstly, wanted to thank the lovely women at mumsnet who have answered my every question regarding this first pregnancy, even down to confirming the BFP when I lost the ability to understand instructions lol!
So 9 days and counting till my due date and final question. I know people say sleep while you can but I've been having naps in the 3-4 hour range most days? Is this normal, I'm doing bugger all around the house and not staying up too late (apart from the 2 hourly pee breaks)
Just don't want to get used to these huge naps when baby comes and I have no sleep at all Grin

I'll see you on the childbirth boards when I'm in labour asking some daft question Grin

I'm 30 weeks into my first pregnancy with twins so way behind you, but have started having a 2 hour nap around 3pm, if I miss my afternoon nap I'm falling asleep for the night around 7pm! So I would say totally normal!!

I'm due with my second next week and also pretty exhausted! Make the most of the naps and relax as much as you can. Everyone told me how special the time is when you're waiting for your first baby and turns out they were right! If you have another baby you'll never have the chance to do this again so enjoy it!

Sleep! Sleep whilst you still can (sure you've heard that a lot & it used to wind me up when people said it, but it's so true!) - I was having long naps after lunch every day in my last few weeks of pregnancy and I'd pay good money to be able to do it now!

When I was pregnant with my first I slept a LOT. Now 35 weeks with #2 and wishing I had the opportunity to sleep even half as much as I did first time round!

Sleep is never a bad thing, enjoy it. It's not like depriving yourself now will (a) make you feel better, or (b) have any impact on how much sleep you'll be able to get when the baby's born, so snooze away :)

I'm 38 weeks and still at work but I think I spend most of my weekends asleep and then still sleep at night. Off from Friday but I reckon a 2-3 hour nap a day sounds great. I'm sure your body will be thankful when your in labour for (potentially) hours and sleep is hard

No such thing as too much napping! There's a high chance that you'll be labouring overnight (most women do to some extent) and and an afternoon nap will help you through. I was very grateful I'd napped!

I had a nap on the sofa every afternoon for about the last 3 weeks. Definitely normal! Enjoy while you can x

I am 36 weeks and would love naps but still at work, I'd say go for it! I will be indulging in naps/lie ins once I'm on mat leave.
