Pregnancy

3 days late but no positive

Hi. First time user.
My partner and I have been trying for 2 months now. My period is 3 days late. I have taken a test each morning but still no positive. The first morning I had a very small amount of light pink spotting but nothing since. I have also had a few cramps when normally I don't have cramping with such intensity. I'm anxious to know. What should we do? Can we do anything to improve accurate testing?

What tests are you using? Superdrug brand ones are good. Apparently pink dye tests are more accurate!

I would wait a week and test again though as you don't want to keep spending money on tests!

When your TTC your periods have a habit of going out of sync (mine did) if not positive in a week and no period then book to see your dr!

Good luck Flowers

Thank you sepa. Yes tests can be expensive. I have tried clear blue and a cheap £1 test from Asda. Don't know the make. Looks like I'll have to play the waiting game. Thanks again

You might be pregnant. I got negative tests for the first few days before I got a positive test.

I hope so. It's a horrible waiting game. I just want to know NOW haha. My periods are very regular normally. I was wondering if my diet could effect the result. Throw it off somehow. I do drink a lot throughout the day and even throughout the night. So is it common to have false negative results even after your period is due?

The drinking may be the reason for negatives - the more diluted your wee is the less strong your wee will be hormone wise.

Try the more sensitive tests with the most concentrated wee possible!
