My hubby and I have decided that we'd like to know whether we're having a boy or girl - I'm 25 weeks pregnant and it's our first and we're sooooo excited and are delighted whatever it is so long as it's healthy but really want to know so I can go sale shopping and buy red/blue outfits and pick names etc. Have apt to go to Babybond in Livingston for a gender scan and just wondered if anyone had been there before and what it was like coz I'm a bit nervous - Thanks all xxx

Hiya, I went there for a gender scan when i was 19 weeks and it was really nice, not sure what package you are getting but we just got the £75 one and it was lovely, she made sure she was 100% sure and gave us a pic of the gender as well as some lovely baby ones.
She told us it was definitely a boy, and i gave birth to my gorgeous son on xmas day, so they were accurate too! hth xx

Thanks Lollipopz - cant decide what package to go for - think I would just like gender package but hubby wants DVD - I feel its a bit of a waste of money though - £70 extra and baby prob wont be doing much on it - shall see how we feel on the day - how exciting though!! Congrats on your new son - a xmas baby - how fabulous!!! xxx

Yep, we went for 20 week anomoly scan, was absolutely fantastic, no clinical environment if that makes sense?

Congrats btw, and feel freel to pop into the bumps north of the border thread, I'm 23 weeks and across in Uddingston, but there are quite a few of us due in the new year!!!

Hi there. Whilst I've not been to the Livingston branch, I did have my nuchal fold scan done at Babybond in Bridgnorth and I would happily recommend them to anyone. The staff were all lovely and friendly and put us at our ease. They explained the process clearly and in detail and were happy to answer all of our questions. The scan itself was excellent and we were given lots of lovely prints to take home with us. The Bridgnorth branch seemed to be fitted out to a high standard - it was spotless and all of the equipment and furniture looked up to date and brand spanking new. They also have their own labs on site, which meant that we got our full report within an hour (although I appreciate that this isn't relevant when you're going for a gender scan). As I said, I'd recommend Babybond as a company and, having talked about it with my GP and midwife, I understand that they're quite reasonably priced too. Hope this helps!

Haven't been to BabyBond but am thinking about going for detailed scan this time round so please let me know how you find it. I'm in Mid Calder so would also be going to the Livingston one. Hope it goes well - I think its nice to know what you're getting!!

We went on Saturday morning - small place and 2 really nice women working there - very friendly and took me and hubby straight away into small room - very clean and modern with big up-to-minute scanning machine - asked me to jump up on couch and immediately put gel on and started the scan - big t.v type screen infront of me to watch whilst she did it - let us see firstly what gender it was - then spent about 15 minutes just moving the probe around showing us the baby moving around, sucking its thumb, chewing and moving its arms up to its face - very mesmorising!! She flicks a button on her maching and view switches between a normal 2D scan picture and a 4D detailed image. We got to confirm the gender, 5 photos on a CD and a 6 and a half minute DVD - total cost £150 (£70 for gender scan, £10 for 5 photos on a CD that we can print off and £70 for DVD). Hope this helps xxx

We wne to the Baby bond in Norbury SE London - so not your branch but I will echo everyone else in saying the service we got was great.
The receptionist was V friendly and the sonographer lovely too. We had a gender scan and paid extra to get a 3D portrait but baby was covering her face. We were sent out to get chocolate and drinks and walk but to no avail, all over a 2hr period. They invited us back a week later but as she was in the same position they gave us our money back for the portrait part of the deal.
I would thoroughly reccommend them as a company.
