Hi all thank you so much for your kind messages! Well I survived, and little bean has a lovely strong heartbeat which we saw and heard and is measuring 8w2d so I've actually gained a day!! Obviously I sobbed like a lunatic and still don't feel like I can breathe properly!
northern that's brilliant!! I did actually shave mine this morning for the first time in about 3 weeks!!

LynseyH5 · 04/03/2016 18:11

Excellent story goulash. Made me laugh out loud which doesn't happen often at the moment.
Great news obsessed. And now relax!

obsessedlex · 04/03/2016 18:34

Not the best picture but thought I'd share - and that's the heartbeat at the bottom xxx

LynseyH5 · 04/03/2016 21:11

Evening all... need a little help. I've previously mentioned all the spotting I've had, this is only when I wipe. About half hour ago I went to the toilet and noticed there was a small clot on my pad Sad should I panic now? There's been no pain or gushing of anything, just this little blood clot. I know this might sound silly but I'm scared that tiny thing was the baby?! If the worst was happening, would it be painful and lots of blood or is it possible that it can end almost silently? I'm stressing and now my head is pounding too. I had the surgical management with previous mc so no idea how it happens naturally... please tell me this isn't the end now Sad

Sophia1984 · 04/03/2016 21:40

I'm sorry to hear that Lynsey I had a blighted ovum at 7 weeks and it started with a drop of blood, but by 2 days later it was a full on period-like bleed. However, I've done a bit of googling (so you don't have to!) and it seems lots of people have had sizeable clots passing and their pregnancy has continued healthily. It could be an old blood clot. I would call the EPAU tomorrow morning and explain what's happened and see if they can get you in for a scan. Here to handhold if you need x

LynseyH5 · 04/03/2016 21:51

Thank you sophia. Im so sorry you went through that, my previous mc was also a blighted ovum but I didn't pass it and had no idea til my scan at 11 wks. Had small spots just a day or 2 before. Nothing like this constant spotting and this little clot. With having the surgical management, it means I have no idea what I would have ended up experiencing. We've seen a heartbeat this time so know it's not another blighted ovum but this constant presence of blood is making me really nervous.
Definitely need handhold ing right now, thank you! X

Sophia1984 · 04/03/2016 22:04

If you've seen a heartbeat the chances of miscarriage go down hugely :-)

LynseyH5 · 04/03/2016 22:13

That's what I keep trying to tell myself! Thank you xx since that clot came out, I've had no spots at all?! I had a luteal cyst so maybe it was that coming away? Maybe if it was that, I might not have anything more? My brain aches!!

GoulashSoup · 04/03/2016 22:45

Here to handhold too. Definately ring your EPU tomorrow. You would have something more substantial than a clot if you are far enough to have seen a heartbeat. For now that baby is still in there. The bleeding is scary but can be normal. I would be the world's biggest hypocrite to tell you not to panic, so I will hold your hand in nervous solidarity instead. Flowers

GoulashSoup · 04/03/2016 22:49

Haveto I love April fools day as it was my Grandad's birthday, sorry your DH won't be able to go with you.

obsessedlex · 04/03/2016 23:03

Holding your hand too Lyndsey hang in there sweet pea xxxxxx

LynseyH5 · 04/03/2016 23:16

Thank you goulash and obessed. Im happy I've seen no further blood and not in any pain whatsoever. I feel like a little girl who needs educating! I have 3 healthy kids, one previous mc. As I said before tho, with having the surgical management, I had no idea what it would feel like. I'm hoping I don't ever have to. So wish that all of us that keep panicking could just relax and enjoy this time. All of our babies are so very much wanted, I wish mother nature would just stop messing with us. Goodness knows what I'd do without all of you lovely ladies xxx

chandelierswinging · 04/03/2016 23:42

Oh Lynsey, you poor thing; how very worrying for you. I had a mc and a mmc (same cycle/pregnancy), with the mc being at 5 weeks. I lost a lot of blood (like a very heavy period), a couple of large clots, and was in a lot of pain (I would describe them like contractions!). Another hand hold here Flowers

chandelierswinging · 04/03/2016 23:44

Welcome Goulash and Cockles and congrats on your BFPs. You're in great company here with this lovely bunch Smile

Lucinda15 · 05/03/2016 08:04

Good luck today lynsey I hope u have had an uneventful night and get to see EPU today. I would try to insist u see them this wknd - and if they can't see u then I would go to a&e and complain of pain and bleeding, so u can have a scan there instead. There is no point waiting and putting yourself through a worrying time. Good luck and keep us posted. Sending a hug Flowers

Backhometothenorth · 05/03/2016 08:27

Thinking of you too Lynsey. I completely agree with previous suggestion to go down to a&e if no joy with epu- we all know the anguish you are going through Thanks

sundayraspberry · 05/03/2016 09:26

Hi goulash and cockles, welcome to the thread and congratulations!

Hope all was ok overnight lynsey and the spotting has settled down. I passed lots of globs of mucus during my first tri (assume when the plug is forming?!) I wonder if it could be something similar with some blood mixed in. Sounds like nothing to worry about but can understand the need to get some advice from epau x

On a lighter note, I thought I was peeing blue urine yesterday but it turns out my work have changed loo roll suppliers for some weird colour changing paper! Honestly, talk about messing with a poor pregnant ladies head!

LillianFullStop · 05/03/2016 11:02

Congrats obsessed and havetobecrazy! I got my scan appointment yeaterday too for Apr 6 Smile

lynsey it doesn't sound like it but I would def get checked out if you are worried. Try to be positive they say spotting is normal in early pregnancy I've been spotting for a week now but seeing the heartbeat going strong in a scan reassured me the little bean was going ok in there.

I passed my mc naturally last year and it starts like a heavy period with painful cramps so def more than a clot.

LillianFullStop · 05/03/2016 11:06

sunday lol at the blue loo roll - that would have freaked me out! they should put warnings on eating beetroot and squid ink risotto too Confused

dobbythedoggy · 05/03/2016 17:25

Hope no one minds the baby picture. Edward James arrived safely yesterday afternoon just under 9 hours from first twinge to delivery. Had a 3rd degree tear but so pleased to have him with us and that the horrific cold I had pre birth seems to have vanished!
