Hi ladies,

I've just got DH to take the Moses basket and pram down from the loft! The carrycot and Moses basket were bagged up together and the Moses basket is all mouldy! We have decided to throw this away and hopefully won't cost us too much to replace! The worst part is, some of the mould has rubbed onto the surface of the carrycot! Not much but it's there all the same. We've stripped it down and put it all in the washing machine! Will this be okay? Or are we going to need a new pram! It's a beautiful pram bought for us by my parents and I'll be heartbroken (and incredible skint) if we have to replace this. Please help ladies. Thank you x

Wash it on a high heat, it'll be fine!

I would say it's fine to use as your washing it!

Will be fine

Give it a hot wash and dry it thoroughly it'll be fine.

If it makes you feel better you could soak it in Milton overnight first

I'm a childminder and have to deal with this a lot as I store my buggies in the garage. Cillit Bang mould remover is excellent, just spray, scrub the mould and rinse.

Also ....put out in sun (when we have some) it kills mould spores, also white wine vinegar in wash x
