Exactly as it says on the title. I'm 13 1/2 weeks and have had no problems so far but am now suffering from what seems like very small shows. Is this normal? Sorry to be graphic but they are bloody, is this what is as known a spotting cos I thought that was just spots of blood not mucus as well

Phone up the NHS helpline, 08454647.
They will be able to advise you, don't worry.

p.s

Can't believe no-one else answered this message - terrible!!!!! I just logged on and saw it.

cazzybabs · 22/05/2004 18:02

Hope its nothing to worry about - I'd phone your delivery unit or on-call midwife. CHances are you'll have to go in. I am sure, however, it will be nothing to worry about it!

Sunlounger - maybe its because most other people have lives on Sat and are out enjoying the sun. Not that I am not bitter sat here trying to start my reports !

NotReallyMe · 22/05/2004 18:07

I would try phoning your midwife. They should be able to tell you what it is and what (if anything) to do next. Good luck.

Bronze, I've had loads of mucusy discharge and loads of scans. All is well so far, I think increased discharges are just part of the increased activity in your pelvic area. If you are spotting, it will get mixed in with the mucus. I am sure it is nothing to worry about but get some advice from yout mw or gp. Can you get a scan for reassurance?

BIBIBOO · 22/05/2004 20:14

Get checked out by midwife just in case, butI'm sure everything will be okay.
I had (sorry to be graphic) brown bloody discharge with mucus at 16 weeks - turned out to be cervical erosion, not as bad as it sounds and everything was and is fine with baby.

Let us know how you get on

Bronze · 23/05/2004 12:27

Well they think it was as Bunny said a mix but they said to just keep an eye on it (ugh)
Babys fine
Thanks people
