That's it, really. Just wondering how I'll feel afterwards and if I'll be up to driving (it's only 10 minutes to the clinic.) Should I take paracetemol or anything beforehand?
Thanks!

i've had three and felt they were slightly more uncomforabe than a smear test but you shout be fine afterward to drive.
I had mild contractions period type pain with in an hour or so of having two of them,
good luck

should not shout

Aren't we supposed to not drive after about 36 weeks or so?

lulumama · 28/12/2006 21:56

you can drive up till full term as far as i am aware , i certainly did..you might need to adjust your seat belt, but as long as you can fit comfortbaly behind the wheel, and the wheel is not digging into your bump, you are ok...

i would take someone to the sweep, for morla support, can be a little uncomfortbale and you might need a hand to hold....

they should be done after your due date, and will only work if you would have gone into labour within a day or two anyway

Hey, don't listen to me. I drove 12 days after a c-section!!!

I felt extremely uncomfortable after my sweep, no contractions or anything, but I felt ill for the rest of the day and certainly wouldn't have wanted to drive. I don't think there's any way of telling how you will react to it so I'd say best to get someone to go with you just to be on the safe side. Good luck!
