Lump on finger?

So I'm 18 weeks, although I doubt if this has anything to do with being pregnant!? About a week ago I noticed a red bump come up at the side of my right index finger, it's on the joint but the joint doesn't hurt. The bump is quite raised and a little red. It's just sitting not doing very much at the moment, don't really want to book a GP appointment for something so silly. Anyone had anything like this and any ideas on how to get rid of it/what it could be? I don't think it's a cyst it's got more of a pimple feel to it (but it's definitely not). I've had a good look in it and there's nothing in it and I haven't rubbed it on anything it's not got a hard callous top on it. Thanks in advance ladies! x

Don't wear any rings, in case the rest of your knuckles swell up, I seem to remember having something like that in one of my pregnancy and having to ditch rings, sorry can't remember what it was, and it's gone.

Hello! I see this is an old post. Just wondering if you ever got any answered as to what this was. I have the same exact thing on my finger and am about 6 weeks along. Don’t know if it’s related but just curious you had the same thing.

This is crazy - I have the exact same thing on the middle finger of my right hand. It's slightly blue, slightly red, and hurts when I put pressure on it.

Planning on briefly showing it to the GP when I have my 25 wk appt on Friday, if she doesn't throw me out for trying to squeeze two things into one appointment...

I have one on my middle finger and it really hurts when I put pressure on it. It's right where I hold a pen and an eyeliner brush. I am 5 weeks pregnant but I never thought it could have something to do with that!!

I believe it is called perniosis

Could be a ganglion cyst? I had one a while ago at the base of my ring finger, right on the joint. They’re harmless and usually disappear on their own.

It is possible! I also found dyshidrosis also presents with similar symptoms. I alway used to get a random bump that was somewhat painful/itchy but this year I got about 4-5 on the outside of my index finger. Dyshidrosis is what best fits the description for me

I have these and am currently 5 weeks 6 days. I have about 10 spread over my fingers but they don't itch, are just a bit painful if they have pressure put on them. Did anyone get a diagnosis on them from a midwife etc?
