Whose unreasonable?

Going to hospital Monday to be induced. I will be 41+6. Hubby wants me to go in on Tuesday so we will have more chance of baby being born on Wednesday (which is his late fathers birthday) I just want this baby out. I just want to go in on Monday and get the ball rolling. He did this with our daughter also, induced on Valentine's Day which he orchestrated. Am I being unreasonable? I don't know how dilated I am or anything. God knows how long it will take. Am I being unreasonable because I don't want to wait one day? I'm worried about baby and the placenter.

I also think he os being unreasonable. I was induced at 40+4 and had my baby a couple hours later every induction and how quick you go into labour is different. Is your DH not really excited about meeting his unborn baby. I personally would tell him that he is being very selfish thinking and saying that to you. I would go in on Monday if I where you.Congratulations and good luck

Me too. Is he a Disney dad or does he actually get involved? This smacks of seeing children as cute convenient accessories.

notspeaking I do think he's being unreasonable. His wish for a cute or sentimental birthday is beyond inconsequential next to your 9 months of pregnancy and arranged induction date, and ultimately the welfare of you and your baby.

Just calmly tell him Monday it is.

Sorry he is being VU. they just don't get how awful and uncomfortable going over actually is.

I was offered a 6.30am appointment on Friday 13th to go in for my induction, the look on my DP face when I said yes but he dared say anything he knew how fed up I was! DS arrived the Monday before though so didn't make it to my induction.
