but when can you find out the sex of the baby? I am 13 weeks and have a scan tomorrow - do you think there will be any chance of knowing at this stage?

It depends on the sophistication of the scan equipment - I had a 12 week scan at the Fetal Medicine Centre in London and they were able to tell me that I was having a girl...good luck and enjoy your scan!

I found out at 16 weeks with a sexing scan as my local hospital don't tell you at 20 weeks I had to pay £100 (boo). Good luck tomorrow

usually at your 20 week scan. we can get it wrong though!! it has been known. my friend was told she was having a girl and then it was a boy!!! some it is blatantly obvious some its not. depends on how your bub is laying and what mood they are in

This sounds stupid, but if you do want to find out at your 20 week scan, do remember to ask! We ummed and ahhed and finally decided to find out. I expected the sonographer to ask us if we wanted to know but she didn't and when I mentioned it after the scan it was too late!

You were all right - not that I doubted you! Scan went well and despite being very clear (sonographer could count fingers and toes) she had a look but couldn't be sure so wouldn't hazard a guess.
